New Stories from Yours Truly!
Two flash fiction pieces were published today.
Hi everyone, hope you are doing well this chilly February eve.
I wanted to drop a quick note just to share that, sort of out of the blue, a couple of very short stories of mine were picked up and published over the weekend by the San Diego-based independent publisher Midsummer Dream House. I haven’t had a story published in quite some time, so it was a nice surprise!
One story, “Alexandra,” was posted on this Substack channel back in the fall. It remains, I believe, the most popular of my posts.
The second story is called “The Fisher’s Man.” It’s a dreamlike tale of a man who sees a fisherman bringing in a massive haul of fish on a dark river. He doesn’t know where he is—or even, really, who he is. A mysterious figure, hooded in gray, appears on the other side of the river and starts making casts, too. The question is what is this stranger fishing for exactly?
I’m linking both stories below for you to read if you’re interested! Feel free to like this post or leave a comment here about what you thought of the stories.

P.S. Here also is my debut short story, “Solo Elk Hunt,” published by Plough.
